The only limits you have are the ones you put on yourself.
No, I didn't fall off the face of the earrth!
I have just been really busy. Between my 4 year old starting chemo and moving, I've just been really running around like a decapitated chicken. I'll be back to blogging soon, I hope!
Just in case you're wondering...I Am also cuddlesandscars
I did this because Its easier to separate the issues of my autistic(and non) kids from politics and such. That way people who don't want to see certain topics can go to one blog, and people who are NOT offended can go to the other.
Travels with triplets...The origional plan.
Oh the best laid plans! It seemed to make sence at the time. We decided to go across the country to Tennessee, to check out a job my fiance was trying to get. But of course, we couldn't just FLY to tennessee. Nope. First we were going to go by train to California to visit his family and some of mine, then take the train across the country to Boston for a week. And THEN on to Tennessee.
Okay, so that doesn't seem like such a big deal tight. But it is when you realize that we did it with half our kids. We were planning the trip with 2 16 year olds, a 3 1/2 year old with sensory disabilities/autism, two 7 year olds, an 8 month old (only going as far as CA) and two and half month old TRIPLETS!
We figured taht it was going to be hard, dealing with everyone's feeding and sleeping schedules. And pushing around a stroller as big as a landbarge is a bit of a pain. But why should we put our life on hold. We just didn't think about how each of the kids were going to behave or handle the trip. Turns out...Yup, its pretty hectic traveling across country with Triplets. And I am going to copy our journey here.

Sorry I seem to have vanished!
Its been a really crappy couple of days. The porch railing, that's been listing for weeks, finally fell off. the result is a tripping hazard for me and a general hazard for the kidlets. The toilet over flowed like three times. And Miss YY is really not doing well right now. I think she's having tummy problems and possibly an ear infection. And I am gettig sick of dealing with idiots. That encompases a lot. nuff said. Anyway, travels with triplets blogs will begin tomorrow.

Travels with triplets...mayb...
Last summer I brought the triplets on a trip! we went from Oregon through California to boston and then Tennessee. And yep, there was a reason. We're looking for a place we can almost afford to live. and My fiance was going for a job interview. No, he didn't get it unfortunately. I have a whole bunch of things I could write about it. But let me know if Ya'll be interested.
Want light on the porch? Plug in the blender!
Not that it would help that much, since The porch railing is now In our yard! NOT on the porch! I guess the railing ACTUALLY being on the porch would be too much to ask. *Sigh* Oh, and try keeping 7 crawlers off the porch, so they don't fall on their heads.
Okay, here's my dream home:
The requirements
1. It has four walls, a roof that doesn't leak, lino that isn't peeling, working plumbing and electricity that isn't crosswired
2. It has enough room so that the boys and girls get separated living spaces
3. Repaired porch, so its safe for the kids.
The Luxuries:
1. no door jams I can catch my crutches in.
2. lowered appliances so I can reach them safely
3.A place I can put my oxygen tank where it ISN'T a tripping hazard.
4. Floors strong enough to be able to use my wheelchair in the house

kids and goats.
Off to move my daughter from the goat crate and put her in bed. And make the goat get off the bed and go into it's crate. My daughter decided that its a nice safe place to sleep I guess. She's been there all day, and i'm just too tired to move her. as long as she slept. of course, she'll probably wake up as soon as I move her. And then the triplets will wake up too. But thats okay, cuz htey need to be fed. It's been a weird day! *SIGH*
Really frustrated with this political thing!
I was really hoping John McCAin would redeam himself today. I usually vote republican, but with Sarah Palin on the ticket McCAin would have to work really hard to get my vote.
My problem with palin is NOT what most people would think. it's not her stand on abortion. It's her record on the disabled. She CUT funding to special olympics. And a good part of her balancing alsasks's budget was done by CUTTING respit care to families with special needs children, home aid, medical assistance. These are all VITAL services if you have a special needs child that you want to keep at home instead of in a medical institution. And if she did it in Alaska she might do it if she became president. And yet, she claims to be our "friend" as a mother with a special needs child.
And there are LOADS of problems with McCain. For starts, we tried his economic policies for the past 8 years and we aint exactly doing brilliantly. Then theres his involvement with the Keating 5. That would be a savings and Loan scandel. Do we want someone connected to a savings and loan scandal in charge with the current economy? Oh and he voted no on a bill that would help Veterens. And he's just so rude! I can't believe how he (a) called Obama "That one" and (b) turned away wwhen Obama went to shake his hand. And don't even get me started on McCain's health care plan and how it wouldn't work for anyone who can be denied health insurance due to pre existing conditions.
Does this mean I love Obama? NOPE! But it comes down to my interests(republican for the most part) and what is better for the country.(ufortunately probably democratic right now) Right now the important issues are the economy, education and healthcare(basics) not PERSONAL values. We can rebuild the "bedroom issues" once the country is no longer about to implode.

A typical day in the Hussy-Rider house-hold Vs. Today
On a normal day:
I get up at 4:30 or 5:00. get the triplets up for morning feeding. then I feed the animals and gather eggs. Then I get the kids up and going. THe older kids eat, while I rub down YY to desensatise her enough for her to get few bites down.farm and house chores follow breakfast. At 8:00 the little kids head over to the Church school for instructaion and the little kids go to pre-school/pre-K or infant care. I used to teach at the pre-K, but I'm on leave right now. At 11:45 I bring the kidlets home and start lunch. at 1 we start classes and they run till 3:30. (Some older kids are at the regular school and the llittlest take naps) Then we have activities (soccer, dance, clarinet, violin, gymnastics and\or brownies) THen dinner, chores and possibly church activities. (Many nights there is a game night, youth club,AWANA's and mpvie night. MOST of the kids are in bed, lights out by 9. The 16 year olds sometimes later, but only when their workin.
Today:
YY stayed up until 4:00 am, then sacked out till noon. She constantly fought with everyone else and got in the way. Now she's crashed out in the goat crate. Oh well. If that's what makes her feel safe, I cn't really complain. After all, the goat sleeps on the bed.

Thems really big. they got two feets in their tails. they can dig wid their hands, and like to burrows They get etted by leopards, lions, hun-tin dawgs n pythons. My brotherz gotted a python, but it never etted an aardvark.
This is how my daughter greeted two visiters to our church yesterday. I'm sure that they are wondering what that kid is up to. What they don't know is that Yahira will give that exact same "lecture" to anyone she can corner. And it's pretty much the only connection to people she has.
Right now, I have given up tryin to get her to go to bed, even though its after 11 and everyone but the trips are asleep. The trips are only awake cuz its their evening chow time. I'm surprised anyone's sleepin, since YY is screamin so loud and whacking her head on the arm of the couch. I wish I could do something to stop her. But I am completely at a loss!
is there ANYONE out there who has advice how I can get her to settle?
